Pinkie Rabbit is a fictional character within the universe of the Another Code and Kyle Hyde games. He is a pink, cartoon rabbit, who was popular within America during the 70s & 80s, and who's was still an active character into at least the early 21st century.
Pinkie Rabbit appeared to have been around for decades prior to the 70s, as Kyle Hyde remembered loving the character when he was a child. During the late 70s to early 80s, the character was the face of a multimedia franchise, that spawned a cartoon, jigsaw puzzles, dools, money boxes, and handheld electronic games. One such game, "Pinkie Rabbit Land", was being advertised on TV in December of 1980, and was the prize of Cape West's vending machine competition.
The character was still around in the early 2000s. In 2007, Ashley Mizuki Robbins owned a Pinkie Rabbit bag which she carried her personal items around in.
- Pinkie Rabbit is made to resemble a "generic" cartoon mascot who is a popular Americana icons of cartoon, akin to the real life Mickey Mouse, and Bugs Bunny.
- In Another Code: R, Ashley refers to her bag as having a "pink rabbit on it", to which Dan Maxwell asks if she means Pinkie Rabbit. This could reflect that the character has become less integrated into American culture by 2007, which would fit with the real life declining popularity of the real-life counterparts around this time. Although it's possible that Ashley was purposefully being generic in case Dan didn't know who Pinkie Rabbit was.
